By Air:

Although Manali does not have an airport, the nearest airport is located at Bhuntar (Kullu) at a distance of 50 kms from Manali. Some private airlines like Air Deccan operate flights from Delhi. The flight times, fares and schedule need to be confirmed before booking flights.

Delhi is the nearest international airport. All passengers can take domestic flights from Delhi (domestic air terminal).

Air services also connect Kullu and Dharamshala to New Delhi.

By Road:

Road is generally the most used route to get to Manali. Manali is well connected by road to many cities/towns in the north India and one can get a bus or hire a personal transport from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla or Dharamshala.

Take the National Highway – 1 (NH- 1) from Delhi to Ambala and then NH – 21 from Ambala to Manali via Chandigarh. The distance is 570 kms.

Buses ply from the ISBT (Inter State Bus Terminal) in Delhi. These buses are operated by private bus operators. The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (A State Government organization) or HPTDC also operates luxury bus services from Delhi to various destinations in Himachal Pradesh including Manali. These bus services are more reliable than the services operated by private operators and visitors may wish to check availability with the HPTDC before opting for private operators.

In Chandigarh, the government operated Buses leave from the bus station located in Sector 20 while buses run by private operators leave from just outside this bus station.

Many private taxi services also operate on these routes. Private taxis can be arranged by us on receiving prior intimation. The taxis will receive guests at the New Delhi International Airport (or other collection point in New Delhi). Charges can be fixed at the time of booking and would depend on the type of vehicle selected
